2019 Fed Ex Cup updates after the 3rd round

Patrick Reed is on top of the leaderboard at 14 under after the third round of the 2019 Northern Trust in Jersey City, New Jersey. Despite losing arguably the biggest name in the field on Friday when Tiger Woods withdrew, there are 11 players within 5 strokes of the lead going into Sunday’s final round.

Abraham Ancer is -13 and Brandt Snedeker, who finished early and posted a 63 for the third round, is 2 shots back along with John Rahm at -12. Followed by Danny Willet, Harold Varner III and Justin Rose at -11.

Also on the leaderboard within 5 shots of the lead are Louis Oosthuizen and Rory McIlroy at -10 and then Max Homa, first round leader Troy Merritt and Dustin Johnson at -9.

After Sunday’s final round the 125-man FedEx Cup field will be cut to 70. They will move on to Illinois for the second leg of the Fed Ex Cup series the BMW Championship Aug. 15-18. It will be played at Medinah Country Club in
Medinah, Ill.
