Brooklyn Nets @ LA Clippers

Sunday Feb 21, 2021 at 8:05 pm          Opening Line:  LA Clippers -5 with a total of 240

The 6-pack:

  1. Brooklyn is 19-12 SU, 15-16 ATS and 22-9 on the Over/Unders. The Nets beat the Clippers 124-120 three weeks ago at home. They were led by James Harden with a triple-double and Kyrie Irving with 39 points.
  2. The Nets have won 5 in a row since their loss to Detroit on Feb 9th. The last 4 of those wins have been on the road where they beat the Warriors by 17, Sacramento and Phoenix in a back-to-back then went to LA and beat the lakers 109-98 Thursday night without Kevin Durant, who is resting with a hamstring injury.
  3. With Durant out Joe Harris and Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot showcased their 3-point shooting by hitting 11 of 15 3s in the game.
  4. LAC are 22-9 SU, 18-13 ATS and 22-11-1 on the Over/Unders.
  5. The Clippers have won 4 of their last 5. Paul George and Kawhi Leonard returned to the lineup Friday night against the red-hot Utah Jazz who had won 9 in a row. Kawhi led the way with 29 points and his lock-down on the ball defense but the bench has been a Clipper strong point with Lou Williams, Marcus Morris and Ivica Zubac contributing mightily. This is nothing new for the Clips as Clipper players have won the last 3 Sixth Man of the Year awards. Lou Williams won in 2017-18 and 2018-19 and Montrez Harrell won in 2019-20.
  6. Kawhi Leonard is shooting better than 50% from the field, 37.6% from the arc and getting to the free throw line an average of 6.3 times a game. Paul George is on a career-high pace shooting 50.4% from the field and 47.2% from the 3-point line and making 90.7% of his free throws. The Clippers are also the 5th ranked defensive team in the NBA allowing only 108.7 points per game.

ProGambler Says: The Clippers have had Paul George, Kawhi Leonard and Patrick Beverley each out with injuries for a significant number of games but they still have continued winning because of their superior depth. They are healthy now and with Kevin Durant sitting out while resting his hamstring injury take the LA Clippers at home -6
