Kentucky Wildcats @ Auburn Tigers

Thirteenth ranked Kentucky (16-4 SU, 8-11-1 ATS) tips off against seventeenth ranked Auburn (18-2 SU, 9-11 ATS) at 6:00 pm EST in an SEC matchup of top 20 teams. The game will be televised on ESPN.

Kentucky has won 4 in a row following their 71-62 victory against Vanderbilt on Wednesday night. They were led by Tyrese Maxey with 17 points and Nick Richards who put up his ninth double-double of the season with 15 points and 11 rebounds in only 22 minutes of play. Maxey and back court mate Ashton Hagans had 8 turnovers as Kentucky had to battle back from a 35-28 halftime deficit.

In SEC conference play the Wildcats are 6-1 SU but only 3-4 ATS. They are in second place in the conference trailing LSU who is 7-0 in conference play.

Auburn rallied from a 19-point second half deficit to squeeze by Mississippi 83-82 in double overtime on Tuesday night and notch their third consecutive victory. Coach Bruce Pearl said “We had 12 turnovers from out point guards. We’ve got to do a better job of that.”

The Tigers are alone in third place in the conference and by beating Kentucky they would be in a tie for second place. Senior guard Samir Doughty had 17 points in the win. The Tigers are 10-0 SU in their last 10 home games but only 5-5 ATS.

Auburn senior center Austin Wiley has put up seven double-doubles this season and forward Anfernee McLemore stretches the floor with his 3-point shooting. Coach Pearl said “When Anfernee plays and we have a stretch-5 out there, we become a completely different team, really hard to guard.”
