Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti price, release date and specs – everything we know

by Ryan

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti with 12GB of VRAM could be a reality soon. Though currently it might be the most popular graphics card that doesn’t yet exist, leaks and rumors seem to drop constantly about this card, which could bridge the gap between the RTX 3080 and RTX 3090. Considering how great the RTX 3080 already is combined with the fact that it’s currently near impossible to buy a newer graphics card, is there a good reason for Nvidia to launch the RTX 3080 Ti now?

There actually is, and it becomes apparent when you take a look at Nvidia’s more budget-friendly Ampere offering, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060. The 3060, which came out in February 2021, comes with more VRAM than the flagship RTX 3080, which probably doesn’t look great to potential buyers. On top of that, soon you’ll probably want at least 10GB of VRAM as game textures get more and more complex, particularly if you’re playing at 4K.
